‘May the wolf live-Che l lëuf vive’ is a live sound transmission connecting the listener to different locations in Val Gardena and inviting them to experience the acoustic commons of the valley as a collective responsibility.
This sound work is part of a long-term research project into transmission ecologies and their potential to enhance time-based methodologies: of (un)mapping human and non-human territories, exploring multisensorial methods of understanding space and time, and unveiling invisible narratives of place. It presupposes the act of ‘listening as event’ and seeks to advance the space of live sound transmission technologies in diverse environments by approaching the soundscape ecology of the Anthropocene as acomplex interrelation of life forms, habitats, transitional territories and environmental degradation causedby human interference.

‘May the wolf live-Che l lëuf vive’ ist eine Klang-Übertragung in Echtzeit, welche die Zuhörer mit verschiedenen Orten inGröden verbindet und einlädt, die akustischen Commons (Allmende) des Tals als gemeinschaftlicheVerantwortung zu erfahren.
Diese Klangarbeit ist Teil eines langfristigen Forschungsprojekts zu Übertragungsökologien und ihremPotenzial zeitbasierte Methoden zur (Neu-) Erfassung menschlicher und nichtmenschlicher Territorien, fürdie Erforschung multisensorischer Methoden zum Verständnis von Raum und Zeit, und schließlich derEnthüllung unsichtbarer Erzählungen des Ortes zu fördern. Es setzt den Akt des „Zuhörens als Ereignis“voraus und versucht die Anwendungen von Klang-Übertragungstechnologien zu erweitern, indem es sichder Soundscape-Ökologie des Anthropozäns als einer komplexen Wechselbeziehung von Lebensformen,Lebensräumen, Übergangsgebieten und vom Menschen verursachter Umweltzerstörung nähert.
